It brings together the best thinkers and policy practitioners to conduct robust research. The main objective of PERI is to bridge the gap between policy design and implementation, leading to inclusive and effective policy implementation.

PERI conducts multidisciplinary research and engages directly in policy making processes through the expertise of its faculty. PERI also works closely with stakeholders at multiple levels—academic institutions, NGOs, and various government bodies—to provide inputs and advisory support.

By engaging with some of the brightest minds in the country in academia and industry, PERI nurtures a mentoring culture for young scholars interested in development and policy.

Keerti Mallela Chief Economist

Keerti Mallela is the chief economist and the idea generator for PERI. She is a sought-after economist and researcher who has done her PhD in Macroeconomics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. With several years of experience in macroeconomic and microeconomic research, Keerti has worked at various levels with enumerators, researchers, translators, and associates. She has also had the opportunity to work with the State and Central governments on various economic development projects like the Jal Jeevan Mission and Samagra Sikshana.
